New Zealand's The Bleeders are a story all unto their
own. Bursting out of the hardcore scene in their homeland,
they shot into the National chart quickly following
an EP and a single and a handfull of videos. Now regular
faces on the front of NZ's music glossies, the boys
are planning on making Australia, and the world, their
very own.

been a little while between drinks for the boys who
have been responsible for a couple of the great Australian
rock albums over the last 5 years, but they are back
with a new swag of recordings. The first three cuts
feature some very special moments indeed. So special,
they've been patient enough to track down Mr Ted Leo
and produce an amazing split EP.

After what was an epic 18 months of touring, Sommerset
have settled into the studio to record their forth long
player. Once again, with Andrew Buckton at the controls,
the early indicators point toward another epic effort,
although to quote the boys "the new songs sit more
squarely in the "rock" camp, darker in mood
but every
bit as aggressive and high-energy"

was measured in high kicks, the new Nation Blue album
would be a fuckin' Can-Can dance. After road testing
material for their new album on the road with the
Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music and the Bronx, The
Nation Blue jumped into Metropolis studios in late
April to track an album sure to be yardstick for the
Australian scene

A lot has been said about Warped. Good, bad ugly, but
the point was, people always talked about Warped. Often
noted as the real deal rockers Australia, Warped toured
consistentlty for years, finally calling it a day after
13 years. Expect a Best Of and DVD out late this year. |
