as, DSM, Evil Priest, Smooth Jimmies, Kid Nuisance & AOV,
The Bleeders bring together an innovative sound, drawing influence
from Punk, Hardcore & Rock.

And
yep - that’s exactly what they have done since there
impressive debut performance in Feb 2003. Their attitude
of "If we don’t do it for ourselves, no one will"
has seen them playing countless dates up and down New Zealand
touring with the likes of The Ataris, Hot Water Music, Good
Riddance, Strung Out and New York Hardcore legends Sick
of It All.
In
July of 2003 The Bleeders entered York Street recording
studios and recorded their highly successful debut a 'A
Bleeding Heart' EP with engineer Steve Roberts (Scribe,
Zed and believe it or not 50 Cent)
‘A
Bleeding Heart’ spent 12 weeks in the National Airplay
charts top 10 and received good airplay on all formats.
The Bleeders rounded out the year by securing a slot on
the 2004 Big Day Out.
Funding from NZ on Air saw The Bleeders back in the studio
recording the new single ‘ All That Glitters’
along with a video directed by Greg Page (Fish’n’Clips
– Betchadupa, D4 & The Datsuns). “All That
Glitters” garnered high rotation on all format.
The
current NZ single ‘So Lonely‘ has been received
well at all media with a debut chart position at # 25 on
the official NZ top 40 chart, and has spent the ensuing
9 weeks in the Top 40, currently holding at #28.
Greg
Page was once called upon to direct the hugely successful
video ‘So Lonely’ .High rotate on both radio
& music television with strong media attention. On the
release of this single the Bleeders have toured nationally.
Hitting
the road in November, The Bleeders team up Sommerset for
a national run of shows, before The Bleeders drop into Melbourne
for a couple of quick shows in December before returning
home after being announced in the 1st announcement for the
2005 Big Day Out.
A
full scale Australian touring assault is planned for 2005.
A mini album will be released in Australia in February 2005.
